I am 21 yrs old and I live in New York City.  I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived there until I was 12 years old. I trusted Christ as my Savior when I was 10 years old, but my young faith was soon tested when I moved two years later. My family moved to Cumberland, Iowa, where I went to junior high, high school, and eventually Hawkeye, a two year college where i received an Associates Degree in photography. Two weeks after my college graduation, I moved to New York and became a photo assistant.

My senior year of high school, God really changed my perspective about photography.  He filled me with a passion to glorify him through my camera lens.  Ever since that year, it seems as though I've been on a roller coaster, watching God work mightily as He provided for me. I learned to wait on Him and trust in His perfect timing when I was accepted into photography school days before classes began. While I was in college, God nurtured both my heart and my gifts, maturing in my faith and the art of photography.

The biggest step of faith has been moving to New York City. I have learned to rely on God for everything and look for His glory revealed each day. I know that God is my Sole Provider and I am so grateful.

I believe God designed me to reveal His glory through photography. My mission is to live in such a way that His design will bring Him the most glory.

I am going to Nyahururu, Kenya to photograph and document the lives of the people and community there. I want to capture God's glory in the beauty of everyday life of His creation.

I pray that as I pursue Christ in obedience, I might throw off the sin that has so easily entangled (Hebrews 12:1-2) me here - selfishness, possessions, ........ and dedicate my life to living authentically.

I want to go to Nyahururu to live intentionally. I want to go to  Nyahururu to be real. I want to go to Nyahururu because I know God can do more with my gifts than I can do myself.
